On the morning of July 21, Chen Yongping, secretary of the party committee and executive vice-chairman of Maojian District Federation of Trade Unions(hereafter referred to as the Unions), accompanied by relevant leaders from the Federation of Trade Unions of Dongcheng Development Zone, donated bottled water, iced black tea, and mung bean to employees who remains at their posts under high temperatures. These items necessary for preventing heatstroke conveyed the care and greetings of the "family" of the trade unions.
In the workplace of Dafeng Company, Chairman Chen inspected the working environment of the employees and learned more about the enterprise's heatstroke prevention measures and the implementation of work safety. He highly praised the spirit that employees do not fear the scorching heat and make every effort to ensure production. He urged the enterprise's responsible persons to strictly implement high-temperature labor protection policies, scientifically adjust working hours, stock up on heatstroke prevention items, and ensure the health and safety of employees. He also reminded the workers to enhance their awareness of self-protection and devote themselves to their work with full energy.

The Unions has sent coolness for many consecutive years. It allocates special funds and promptly donates refreshing materials to enterprises in the district when it is hot in July and August per year. Years of donation has demonstrated the unions’ consciousness of the need to think in big-picture terms, and its responsibility of serving the workers, thus injecting warm power into building harmonious labor relations and ensuring safe production in summer.
