Reading enhances professional skills and qualities to practice the spirit of craftsmanship with concrete actions.On the afternoon of May 28, 2026, the  Federation of Trade Unions of Dongcheng Economic Development Zone (hereafter referred to as the Unions)and the Trade Union of Dafeng Company successfully held a lecture on the Civil Code and reading sharing session，themed “Craftsmanship Building Dreams·Reading Revealing the Original Aspiration”. Leaders from the Unions and the Justice Bureau of Maojian District were present to offer guidance. More than 30 representatives from the company's trade union and front-line workers participated in the event.

At the beginning of the event, Lawyer Huang Ayuan from Hubei Yunhe Law Firm carried out special legal publicity and education on the Civil Code.Based on the actual situation of the enterprise and the concerns of the employees, the relevant provisions of the Civil Code and the latest policies and regulations of the trade union,Lawyer Huang elaborated on key contents such as the protection of labor rights and interests and legal channels for rights protection.

During the subsequent book-sharing session, two  representatives of workers took the stage to share their reading insights and have a free talk about job practice. 

Chen Liangju, an employee of the cable team,expounded on how the concept“zero defect” was implemented in practice according to the classic work Quality Is Free by quality management master Philip Crosby and her own job. “Quality is not only the lifeline of an enterprise, but also the professional dignity of us front-line workers.”Her simple words revealed the unwavering commitment of the Dafeng people to quality.

Jiao Yulong, an employee of the shifter team, shared a philosophical short story titled The Squirrel Stealing Food by Danni Connor. He vividly interpreted the core of craftsmanship of concentration and professionalism-There is no a bird feeder  that can prevent the squirrel from stealing food in the world but insufficient concentration. Only by studying thoroughly and proficiently can one become the stabilizing anchor in one's position.

All the participants stood solemnly and read the wonderful content in President Xi Jinping with front-line workers and friends, which  brought this event to a climax. “Vigorously carry forward the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, the spirit of craftsmanship...”The resounding oaths echoed in the room. The General Secretary's deep concern and earnest expectations for the vast number of workers have been transformed into a powerful driving force that inspires the people of Dafeng to forge ahead with determination.

Finally, the chairwoman of the Trade Union of Dafeng Company stated in her summary that the Trade Union of Dafeng will continue to give full play to the role of the “Staff Reading Room” as a base and promote the in-depth integration of legal culture and staff reading. It is hoped that all employees will take this activity as an opportunity to transform the wisdom from books into unique skills for one’s position, integrate the spirit of the rule of law into their daily work, and truly achieve this goal:one person is diligent and capable, and has something to do; one person can act on one’s principles and solve problems reasonably in the right ways;one person is full of hope and enthusiasm for life with a positive and optimistic attitude.In doing so,one can contribute solid craftsmanship strength to the high-quality development of the company. 

The event came to a successful conclusion amid warm applause. Through the event,the legal literacy of the employees has been enhanced,and a strong atmosphere of“loving reading, reading good books, and being good at reading” has been also created in the company, thereby achieving a double harvest of legal protection and cultural confidence.
